Fire retardant boilersuits are a type of protective clothing worn by workers who are at risk of exposure to flames or heat. These boilersuits are made from flame-resistant materials that can withstand high temperatures and prevent the spread of fire. They are commonly used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and firefighting.
Fire retardant boilersuits are designed to provide full-body protection, covering the arms, legs, and torso. They often feature multiple pockets for storing tools and equipment, and may also include reflective strips for increased visibility in low-light conditions.
When selecting fire retardant boilersuits, it is important to choose garments that meet relevant safety standards, such as the EN ISO 11612 standard for protective clothing against heat and flames. It is also essential to ensure that the boilersuit fits properly, as loose or ill-fitting clothing can compromise its protective properties.
