N95, FFP2, N95 and KN95 masks or filtering disposable respirators all offer quite similar protection to each other and are subject to various regulatory standards around the world, including N95 - United States NIOSH-42CFR84, FFP2 - Europe EN 149-2001, KN95 - China GB2626-2006. Standards specify certain required physical properties and performance characteristics for them to claim compliance and whilst not exactly the same can be expected to function in a similar manner.
