PRODUCT DETAILS & SPECIFICATIONS

The Volt Stick LV50 is an intrinsically safe non-contact voltage tester for identifying the presence of AC voltage from 50 to 1000V. Its high sensitivity and immediate red LED indication make it suitable for checking cables; metallic surfaces; pipework; cabinets and working areas for unexpected AC voltage.

For hazardous-area voltage checks

The LV50 is ATEX and IECEx approved for use in approved hazardous areas and is certified Ex ib IIB T3 Gb (ExVeritas 16ATEX0203; IECEx ExV 16.0018). A safety handguard and fully insulated body help avoid unintended contact with live conductors. The tester is rated IP64 and CAT IV 1000V AC.

Practical everyday specification

It detects 50V AC at approximately 4mm from a 2.5mm conductor and is powered by two supplied AAA alkaline batteries. The compact tester measures 145 x 18mm and weighs approximately 40g.

Important use information

Always prove the tester on a known live source before use and follow the supplied instructions and your organisation's electrical safe-working procedures. A non-contact tester may not indicate voltage in shielded or armoured cables. Do not open the instrument in an explosive atmosphere.
