1. Place the swab inside the nose to the bottom of the nasal cavity (slowly and gently)
2. When the end of the swab is touching the paries posterior of the pharyngonasal cavity, let it remain in place for approximately 3 seconds
3. Rotate the swab gently approximately 10 times before removing it slowly and gently
1. Put the swab specimen into the extraction tube with the extraction buffer already added
2. Rotate the swab 10 times and then remove it whilst pressing the tip of the swab against the tube wall so that as much liquid can be discharged as possible then leave it to stand in the tube for 1 minute. Remove the swab whilst squeezing the tip so that as much liquid can be discharged as possible disposing of the used swabs in accordance with biohazard waste disposal methods. Put the cap on tightly and let it stand for another minute.
3. Add 100ul (3 drops) of this liquid to each of the two sample wells
4. Wait for 10 - 15 minutes. If left unread for 20 minutes or more the results are invalid
Once 10-15 minutes has passed check the results indicator
The "C" (control) line must have a red mark for both tests or the test is invalid
The "T" line is red for a positive COVID-19 result (even a faint line is a positive result)
The "A" or "B" (or both) lines are red for a positive Flu result
The Panodyne Covid-19 or Flu A+B Antigen Combination Rapid Lateral Flow Test Kit (nasopharyngeal swab/oropharyngeal swab), which has gained CE certification, is intended for Health Professional Use to help identify whether, for example, patients and those in social care settings (at the time of testing) have COVID-19 (Coronavirus) or Flu (A+B) – even if no obvious symptoms are present.

It’s quick and accurate. The point of care test uses a nasopharyngeal swab sample to detect the presence of the antigens produced by the body’s immune system, and a positive or negative result is visible within 15 minutes of testing, with a 98-99% accuracy level (see Clinical Report Summary PDF for full details).
Most tests require both a nasal and throat swab in order to work correctly, however this test has been specifically formulated to work only with a nasopharyngeal sample.
These tests can be administered to both Adults & Children.
Each individual test kit includes 1x test cassette, 1x sterile swab, 1x antigen extraction buffer, 1x sample extraction tube, 1x dropper tip, 1x package insert, plus full usage instructions, which are all located inside a sealed test kit wallet.
Whilst the test kit works very quickly, requires no specialist equipment, is easy to use, and test results are easy to read, the manufacturers recommend that the kit should be administered by medically trained personnel. Also please note that if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, you must follow Government guidelines in terms of isolating and testing.
The results will inform you of the following, although please be aware that if the C line does not appear, the test is invalid.
For the COVID-19 Test, there is 1 negative and 1 positive result:
Negative Result: If only the quality control line (C) appears and the detection line (T) is not visible, then no novel coronavirus antigen has been detected and the result is negative.
Positive Result: C and T - if the quality control line (C) and the detection line (T) appears, then the novel coronavirus antigen has been detected and the result is positive. You currently have COVID-19.
For the Flu A+B Antigen Test, there is 1 negative and 3 positive results:
Negative Result: If only the quality control line (C) appears and no detection lines (A or B) are visible, then no influenza A or B virus antigen has been detected and the result is negative.
Positive Result (Flu A+B): C, B, and A - if the quality control line (C) and the detection lines (A and B) appear, then both the influenza A virus antigen and influenza B virus antigen have been detected and the result is positive for Flu A and B.
Positive Result (Flu A): C and A - if the quality control line (C) and the detection line (A) appears, then the influenza A virus antigen has been detected and the result is positive for Flu A.
Positive Result (Flu B): C and B - if the quality control line (C) and the detection line (B) appears, then the influenza B virus antigen has been detected and the result is positive for Flu B.

Panodyne have produced a very useful Declaration Form for each of their test kits as attached which can be used each time someone is tested and kept as an internal record. Unlike PCR test kits, Lateral flow test kits do not need to be sent off to a lab to be processed and will provide results within 10-15 minutes. If the individual tested is positive, it is recommended that they immediately self-isolate and arrange to take a PCR test.
